This in depth cutting program is designed to give students the why of cutting hair. Focusing on the 3 fundamental shapes, students will go through a journey of understanding shape and the multi dimensions that we can look at them. Focusing on technique and theory, students will leave with a new view on how to work through haircuts methodically and feel confident in adapting these techniques into the salon experience.
Target
It is recommended that this class be categorized in 2 groups:
– 2 years or less: perfect for new designers & apprentices
– 5 years + : perfect for seasoned stylists to refresh and revisit their foundations

This in depth cutting program is designed to give students the why of using disconnection. Focusing on the 3 fundamental shapes, students will go through a journey of understanding shape and the multi dimensional haircuts through disconnection. Focusing on technique, theory and application, students will leave with problem solving methods for problematic growth patterns, a clear understanding when disconnection is to be used and why and have the skill set to create unique designs that create harmony between creative and clients needs. This will give students a new view on how to work through haircuts methodically and feel confident in adapting these techniques into the salon experience.

Every client has an area of concern with their hair that can create limits for you or them when designing their unique look.
Through this one day hands on class you will be elevated in understanding the importance of primary disconnection.
What it is, when to use it, and why to use the techniques to have a complete understanding of the value of a proper analysis. In addition you will learn multi-functional personalizing techniques with your shears to ensure each client has a custom look suited just for them.
In the morning you will watch as James creates a look on a model talking you through each thought process in creating the final result.
After lunch for the remainder of the day you you will have your chance to work on a live model, putting into practice what you learned in the morning.
These salon friendly methods will give you a foundation for primary disconnection and its problem solving capabilities, allowing you to create beyond any limitations.

This in-depth salon training will focus on sharing fundamental knowledge on cutting curly hair on a live model as well as showcasing a free form painting technique that is unique to each curly hair type. This color technique is great as a full service color or as a great addition to any in salon service. Focus will be on full service care for your guest from the consultation, designing the right cut, color placement and finishing the total look. In an ever changing world of cutting and coloring, this program has been designed to assist artists in creating HARMONY between your cut and color.

Over this 2 day program Students will work through proper consultation and hair analysis focusing on designing a cut utilizing Essential shapes, Essential disconnection as well as an introduction to advanced disconnection. Artists will then determine Essential color placement, technique as well as application in order to achieve a personalized and unique look of their own to create a HARMONY between the skills. As many salons are not departmentalized this is the perfect class for artists wanting to take their combined skills to the next creative level.

In this one day elevation program, we will take you on an in depth study of face shapes and bone structure. Through a proper analysis, you will discover balancing the face through hair cutting techniques followed by free form coloring that will compliment this theory. Bringing the technique of cutting and coloring together to create balance on each of your unique clients.
